In addition to Becoming a Mentor, there are a number of other ways to volunteer at Talbot Mentors. Our additional volunteer opportunities and descriptions can be found below. Feel free to contact us for further information.
Talbot Mentors holds two fundraising events annually: The Spring Brunch in May and the Eastern Shore Comedy and Fun Festival in September. We need assistance with all aspects of event planning and execution.
There are over 70 students at Talbot Mentors between the ages of 6 – 18. Many of our students need extra help to develop their literacy, math and science skills. We are looking for tutors in the areas of Mathematics, Science and Literacy and in particular people that show an interest and comfort in working with students.
Talbot Mentors needs volunteer drivers to transport children to various activities and programs. We look for individuals who are reliable, punctual, enjoy spending time with children and possess a good driving record.
We need volunteers to assist with an assortment of administrative tasks which may include using the computer for data entry, answering the phone, and working on special administrative projects. Your valuable time will be spent helping Talbot Mentors run in the back end, enabling our staff to spend more time connecting and supporting mentors to work with students in Talbot County.
Do you have a particular skill you could share with our students? Perhaps it is woodwork, dancing, music or cooking, but the list is endless. We are always looking for people to run extra workshops for our students. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact us.
